Amazfit has finally launched a new smartwatch, called the Amazfit GTR 2 in the Indian wearables market. The Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a round dial and is offered in sport and classic editions. Amazfit GTR 2 carries a price tag of Rs. 12,999 for the sport edition and Rs. 13,499 for the classic edition. The smartwatch is available for purchase via Flipkart, and the sale has already been started from yesterday. If you don’t remember, Amazfit had already started taking pre-orders for the GTR 2 starting last week.
Coming to its design language, the classic edition of round-shaped Amazfit GTR 2 features a black leather strap and stainless steel case. While the sport edition has a black leather strap with an aluminum alloy case.
The Amazfit GTR 2 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED HD display that comes safeguarded with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartwatch packs a 471mAh battery that is said to last for 14 days on normal usage. If usage is basic along with the power saver turned on, the Amazfit GTR 2 is claimed to last for 38 days. The smartwatch only takes 2.5 hours to completely charge, the company said.
The freshly-launched GTR 2 offers over 90 built-in sports modes and also features 24-hour heart rate monitoring, stress level monitoring, and blood-oxygen measuring. The smartwatch is also capable of measuring sleep quality, sleep stages like REM, and even daytime naps. The Amazfit GTR 2 is 5 ATM water-resistant certified smartwatch that can survive up to a depth of 50 meters under water. The device offers 3GB of storage to store up to 600 music files.
Just like other Amazfit smartwatches, Amazfit GTR 2 is compatible with the Zepp app. It functions with smartphones running on Android 5.0 OS and above, and iOS 10 OS and above.
