Amazon has officially announced the launch of its music streaming service, called Amazon Prime Music, in India. The service is available for download from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It is also available on the web.

The Amazon Prime Music app offers lots of interesting features. However, it has to be noted that the music streaming service is available for prime users only.  The app comes with Alexa integration. Users just need to tap on the Alexa icon in the music app and simply ask for songs, artists, albums, and more. In addition, the music app is completely ad-free which means that you will not get disturbing ads while listening to music.

The app will be available in 12 different languages including Hindi, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, and Rajasthani. Users are also going to get unlimited offline downloads for their favorite songs, albums, and playlists in the mobile app.

Amazon claims that Prime music has hundreds of playlists specially administered by the Amazon music experts across genres, moods, activities, and artists. Users can select music on their Android devices and simply cast on Chromecast enabled devices.

The ad-free music service by Amazon is all set to give tough competition to other music streaming services like Saavan, Gaana, Wynk Music, Apple Music, Hungama and Google Play Music, and more.
