Amazon has plans to launch an excessive range of products in different categories that will be powered by Alexa. The e-commerce giant is looking to go beyond smart devices and has tied up with Indian companies to launch a slew of products in the Indian market.
According to a recent report by Factor Daily, Amazon is looking to diversify its portfolio by entering into different domains including televisions, smart switches, home controls, set-top boxes, mobile phones, automobiles among others. The report further says that the company has partnered with different Indian brands.
BPL is planning to launch a series of speakers with Alexa voice integration named as VoiceOne Speakers. Further, Embassy Group wants to build Alexa-powered smart home appliances using Alexa voice service that come pre-installed with Amazon Echo devices.
The report further says that the Mybox will launch Alexa voice services by the end of July and it will allow its users to use Alexa features like voice command cabs booking, shopping, and more with the new set-top boxes. Mybox will introduce an Alexa-powered set-top box that will have a Wi-Fi-based dongle with a voice-based remote. The kit will cost one around Rs 999.
