After a long wait, finally AMD has put out graphics cards which are good enough to rival NVIDIA’s offerings. AMD introduced the AMD Radeon 6000 series graphics cards last month which is based on the RDNA 2 architecture. AMD Radeon RX 6000 series comprises three graphic cards – RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, and the top-end RX 6900 XT.
AMD RX 6000 cards give competition to the NVIDIA RTX 3000 series cards in performance and their prices are also competitive. The RX 6800 cards have now launched in the market after the revelation regarding specifications and US price by AMD at launch. AMD has launched the RX 6800 graphics cards in India as well with the price range starting from Rs. 45,999.
AMD has also launched the AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics card in India and the MBA card is the reference design which is made by AMD. Only the RX 6800 MBA variant will be released and the RX 6800 XT will not be getting a reference card release.
The RX 6800 MBA card will cost for Rs.45999 in India which is exclusive of tax. The AMD Radeon RX 6800 MBA will cost for Rs. 54,278 with the GST of 18%. The AIB models of the RX 6800 and the RX 6800 XT will be available for sale from November 25 through partners. You can expect some very good custom cards from ASUS, Zotac, and more.
In comparison with price, the US price is USD 579 which is approx. Rs. 43,000. The mark-up price will be approx. Rs. 3,000 exclusive of tax. As compared with NVIDIA, it recently dropped the prices for the RTX 3000 series GPUs in India. The direct competitor of the RX 6800, the NVIDIA RTX 3070 will cost for Rs. 44,500 now. However, this price is tax inclusive hence there will be some gap between the pricing of the two cards. The price of RX 6900 has not been revealed yet but we will get to know about launch and price soon for India aligning with the global launch.
