AirPods Max Pro specifications and features:
Apple’s first over-ear headphones are claimed to come with high-fidelity audio. The machined aluminum earcups are said to be connected to a special suspension system that bends with the stainless-steel headband, which is covered with a breathable knit mesh canopy, to fit a broad range of head sizes. The earcups of the AirPods Max pro have an “acoustically optimized” net that surrounds the magnetically connected cushions. Apple claims that the combination of these materials provides a better seal for a better noise-canceling experience.
The AirPods Max is fitted with custom 40mm dynamic drivers from Apple and its exclusive H1 chip. The headphone has a total number of nine microphones, eight of which also serve the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function to stop noise from all directions. It features a single-button press Transparency mode similar to what Apple’s true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the AirPods Pro, also have. The wireless headphones connect using Bluetooth v5.
The AirPods Max has geospatial audio with strong head tracking, which essentially uses accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to track head movement and optimize sound in real-time. They have optical and position sensors to detect when the pair is taken off from ears — or when one earcup is raised— to pause the sound.
Apart from a dedicated noise control button to switch between Transparency and ANC mode, the AirPods Max has a digital crown on top of the right earcup to play/ pause/ skip tracks, and, most importantly, control volume with accuracy. The wireless headphones claim to deliver up to 20 hours of hearing time on a single charge with ANC enabled. Apple claims that five minutes of charge time provides around an hour and a half of listening time.
