- Apple’s message to users is that they should get any existing issue fixed before they apply for the repair program.
Apple has announced that a tiny numeral figure of iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and Pro Max users are likely to experience touch screen problems. The company has specified a faulty display module that is causing the issue on the limited iPhone 11 models. Apple has started the iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program for eligible iPhone devices.
Apple iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program:
Apple said that a tiny number of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to a problem with the display module. The affected devices were produced between November 2019 and May 2020. To check whether your iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max is eligible for the program, you have to enter your device’s serial number on the replacement program support page.
Steps to find out iPhone 11 serial number:
(1) Go to Settings and tap on General
(2) Tap on About
(3) Check the Serial Number.
One can also find out the serial number of the device below the barcode printed on the iPhone 11 retail box.
If your iPhone 11 model is eligible for the screen replacement program, you need to contact Apple or an Apple-authorized service supplier to have an appointment.
Before submission of your device, make sure that you have taken a backup of your phone’s data to your iCloud or PC. If your iPhone 11 has any impairment which disables the ability to complete the repair, such as a broken screen, that issue needs to be resolved before the service. In certain cases, there may be a value related to the additional repair.
If you have experienced the issue and got the display replaced before the service program, you need to get in touch with Apple for compensation. The program is meant for affected iPhone 11 devices for two years post the first retail sale of the unit.
