Taiwanese pc and tablet manufacturer Asus has launched a new update for the Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India. The update brings Wi-Fi calling (VoWiFi) support to Reliance Jio.
According to a report by XDA Developer, the update comes with version number 126.96.36.199 and it is 50MB in size. Apart from supporting VoLTE on T-Mobile and VoWi-Fi on Jio, the changelog also mentions that the phone’s Android security patch is November 2020.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Asus Zenfone 5Z comes packed with a 6.2-inch Full HD + display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels, 18:7:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and up to 8 GB of RAM.
In terms of memory, the phone comes in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM models with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. Internal storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a micro SD card slot. The device runs on Android Pie operating system out-of-the-box and packs a 3,300mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0.
For photography, the device features a dual rear camera setup that comes combined with a 12 MP and a 8 MP sensor. The main 12 MP sensor features a Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 83-degree field of view, 24mm equivalent focal length and a soft light LED flash. The 8-megapixel sensor has a 120-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture and a 35mm film camera with a focal length equal to 12mm. For the selfie, there is an 8-megapixel resolution, with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view.
