Audi India aims at making a powerful and deeper mark in the luxury car segment and one of its main weapons against peer German rivals Mercedes-Benz and BMW is the latest A4 sedan. The Audi A4 Facelift sedan production has already started at the company’s Aurangabad facility and its launch is expected in early 2021.
While 2020 was mostly about the brand’s SUVs with the rollout of Q8, RS Q8, and Q2 grabbing the majority of the headlines, it is the 2021 A4 that is slated to jump-start Audi’s New Year offensive. In many ways, the A4 has been the backbone of Audi’s sedan lineup in the country for some time now and the newest edition is likely to hot up.
The new facelift of the Audi A4 features a more sporty visual appearance at the front, thanks to the re-designed headlight unit, sculpted bumpers, and dual exhausts at the back. It is revealed that the new A4 will own 19-inch alloys on the S model and the other models will feature either a 17-inch or 18-inch wheel.
Audi A4 is expected to improve the cabin remarkably to make it more contemporary than ever before. The new A4 will make use of the sporty – 2.0-litre TFSI motor which is expected to get a 12V mild-hybrid system. It is expected to be coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission unit with standard Audi’s all-wheel-drive Quattro system.
Once launched in the Indian lucrative market, the A4 will resume its battle against the likes of Mercedes C-Class, Jaguar XE, BMW 3 Series, and the new Volvo S60.
