The smartwatch industry has continued to grow. Recently, we can see a number of traditional watch manufacturers introducing smartwatches. Hublot launched its first full-production smartwatch, the Big Bang E in June this year. On the other hand, Timex had also launched its first smartwatch, the Ironman R300 in February this year.
Citizen, the Japanese watch manufacturer who is best known for its Eco-drive watches and cool atomic clock synchronized timepieces has now launched its first smartwatch. The device is known as Citizen CZ Smart.
The CZ Smart is a full-on smartwatch including all the features which you can see on the popular brands. The smartwatch comes with a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 416×416 . The watch is powered by Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform and comprises 8GB of storage. The watch also comes with on board sensors which includes a heart rate sensor, barometer, accelerometer and gyroscope.
The CZ Smart watch runs on Google Wear OS which gives users the opportunity to download several apps through the Play Store. The watch also comes along with various features which focuses on improving your health. It also has a call function since there is a built-in speaker for taking calls directly through the watch. The watch also has a 3ATM waterproof rating which means that it can be immersed in water with depth up to 30 meter.
The Citizen CZ Smart has a hefty price tag of $395 and is currently available for pre-order but its shipping will start from December 14. It will be available in three colour options – a black chain strap, a black rubber strap and a blue rubber strap option and all the three colour options bear the same price tag.
