Uber targets making short-distance travel easier for the commuters in Kolkata. The users will now get the option of booking an e-rickshaw along with the cars. Alongside UberGo, Uber Premium, Uber Rentals, Auto users will now also see UberToto. The services will be available in locations across Howrah, Barasat, Rajarhat, Madhyamgram, Salt Lake, and others.
Kolkata is not the first state to get this new offering from Uber. Previously, Uber had launched the e-rickshaw services in Delhi in November. The company had deployed over 100 e-rickshaws across various locations in Delhi.
