Dell has recently announced its latest laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The laptop is priced around a starting price of $999.99 (approx. Rs 63,374) and it is already available in the US market. The brand has also introduced an Ubuntu-based variant with preloaded Linux which is priced around a starting price of $949.99 (approx. Rs 60,206).
The major high point of the laptop is the new 13-inch Infinity Edge display fitted in an 11-inch frame. The device features up to 4K screen resolution. The Dell XPS 13 is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5 (Core i5-8250U) or and Core i7 (Core i7-8550U) processors. The brand claims that one can wipe off pen marks or other stains from the laptop. Dell has also empowered it with glass fiber materials that will help the laptop to stay cooler for a longer period of time.
The laptop is backed by a 1TB of SSD storage and the company says that it can give up to 30 hours of battery backup of Full HD resolution and up to 11 hours of backup of UHD resolution approximately. The laptop comes loaded with touch, voice, and facial recognition along with an optional fingerprint reader in the power button that works with Windows Hello.
The laptop runs on Windows 10 operating system. The laptop also ships with a USB Type-A to USB Type-C adaptor. However, there is no information about the pricing and availability for the Indian market yet.
