Google Pixel 4a ‘Barely Blue’ color variant launched: Here’s everything you need to know

American tech giant Google has launched another ’Barely Blue’ variant of the Pixel 4a smartphone. The phone is currently available for sale at Google stores in the US. With the new color variant, the phone comes in two shades – Just Black and Barely Blue. At first, the phone was offered with only one body shade option – Just Black. Note that the Barely Blue variant isn’t available for the Indian users. According to the Google Pixel phone specifications page, it specifies that it is exclusive to the US market only at present. 

Pixel 4A Barely Blue price 

The Google Pixel 4a is presently available in Just Black and a restricted version Barely Blue shading choice in just one variant – 6GB + 128GB priced at $349 (approx. Rs. 26,000). The new color variant is now available in the US till stocks last and according to the official Google Pixel official page, there is no data on if and when it will be available in different countries. 

In India, the Pixel 4A comes in the single Just Black color model that is priced at Rs. 31,999. 

Pixel 4A Barely Blue Variant specs 

As referenced before, the new variation of the Pixel 4A accompanies similar details. The Google Pixel 4A runs on Android 11 and comes with a 5.81-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2, 340 pixels) OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 443ppi. The phone is fueled by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC, combined with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM. 

As far as optics, the Pixel 4A has a 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back with an f/1.7 lens. There is likewise optical picture adjustment (OIS). For selfie lovers, the phone has an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front with an f/2.0 focal lens housed in an opening punch cut out situated at the upper left corner of the screen. 

The Google Pixel 4A has 128GB of in-built available storage that isn’t expandable by means of a microSD card. Network alternatives on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm earphone jack. Sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, surrounding light sensor, barometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor available at the back of the phone. 

The phone is powered by a 3,140mAh battery that also supports 18W quick charging. There are additional sound system speakers and two mics, alongside noise suppression. In conclusion, the phone estimates at 144×69.4×8.2mm and weighs 143 grams.
