Honor has announced the launch of the new variant of the Honor Magicbook – Honor Magicbook Sharp Dragon Ryzen Edition with AMD processor. The device laptop will be available for pre orders on Jingdong. The first sale will onset on 06th of June. As of now, the price of the latest device has not been revealed yet.
New variant of Honor Magicbook will be available with an AMD Ryzen R5 processor. It simply means that it will be cheaper than the Core i5 and Core i7 models. Adding further, the chipset will have a Radeon Vega 8 GPU along with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. Apart from this, other specifications will be the same.
The device has a 14 inch screen with weight under 1.47 kg. It looks like that it has been packed inside a 13 inch form factor due to its ultra-thin bezels on all sides. It has a display with full HD IPS panel with minimal bezels which offers a screen to body ratio of 80 percent. It can be opened in all the ways to 180 degrees. The company claims that the device will have 250 nits of brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio and 45 percent colour gamut in NTSC.
Honor also claims that the MagicBook with 57.4 watt-hour battery has the tendency to last up to 12 hours on continuous video playback of 1080p. This is the one feature which will be up for testing as soon as the laptop makes its way to the market. As per the company, the device will be able to book up to its home screen in precisely 7.6 seconds. The power button doubles up as the fingerprint scanner and also it supports a Dolby Atmos enabled four speaker unit.
The new MagicBook will be the first ever machine which will run on Windows 10 OS. Thus, it will support Magic-Link, a feature which allows users to automatically lock or unlock their screen with the help of their smartphone. If we talk about connectivity, the laptop is equipped with charging and data transfer via USB-C, two different USB ports, an HDMI port and an audio headphone jack.
