Honor V40 with 120Hz screen, 66W fast charging support expected to launch on January 12

Honor V40 series is anticipated to launch in January 2021. The smartphone series already has its details available online. The latest report has leaked the Honor V40 launch date and a few of its specifications. A user on Weibo claims that the V40 series will roll out on 12th January. However, the brand hasn’t made any official confirmation. The tipster further shares that the standard V40 will offer a 120Hz refresh rate display.

The new report revealed a leaked render that shows the smartphone featuring a dual hole-punch cutout display with curved edges. Further, it also shows that the smartphone will also feature a quad-camera setup housed in a circular module which comes along with an LED flash positioned between the four sensors inside the module.

The smartphone was recently seen on the Chinese 3C certification website, where it was displayed to support 66W fast charging support. Apart from it, we don’t know much about the standard V40 series devices as of now.

Coming to the Specifications of V40 Pro and V40 Pro+, both smartphones are likely to offer similar features as seen in the Mate 40 series. Lately, tipster Rodent950 disclosed in a leak that the V40 series will sport a 6.72-inch Full HD plus curved display. He also disclosed that the screen will have a pill-shaped camera cutout to feature dual front cameras.

The Honor V40 Pro is tipped to come powered by the latest Kirin 9000 chipset. The Honor V40 Pro+ on the other hand gets its power from a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. On the rear, the V40 Pro is likely to feature a triple-camera setup, while the V40 Pro+ could sport a quad-camera array. Reports suggest the V40 series could offer a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor.
