How to use JioCall: Here’s a step-by-step guide

Jio telecommunication offers 4G HD voice and video calling service to all 2G or 3G (with a JioFi), 4G LTE smartphone users via its amazing JioCall app. The JioCall app uses the Jio SIM number as the JioCall’s app number. One can use this number as a regular phone number to make or receive calls, send or receive SMS from any mobile number.

According to jio.com, “JioCall is currently supported only on Smartphones with Android OS v4.1 & above or iOS v9.0.1 & above for Android Phones. 

Here is a step-by-step guide you can follow to install and use JioCall on your smartphone.

Android Phones: Installation and usage of JioCall app

Step 1: First of all, open Google Playstore on your Android device.

Step 2: Then, tap the search icon and type JioCall.

Step 3: Once you see it, download it.

JioCall has to be configured using a Jio SIM. On a 4G phone, you just need to insert a Jio SIM and the app will auto-configure. In case, you have a JioFi with Jio SIM, you can configure any 2G/3G/4G smartphone with it. After configuring the JioCall and the app is ready to be used, the phone number of the Jio SIM with which it is configured becomes the phone number of the app.

iOS Phones: Installation and usage of JioCall app

Step 1: First of all, open the App Store on your iOS device.

Step 2: Then, tap the search icon and type JioCall.

Step 3: Once you see it, download it, insert the Jio SIM in the phone and complete the configuration.

After configuring the JioCall, the app is ready to be used and the phone number of the Jio SIM with which it is configured becomes the phone number of the app. It is to be noted that on iOS-based phones, JioCall cannot be configured with the Jio SIM in JioFi.
