American multinational information technology company HP has launched a variety of new laptops in the Elite and Envy range during CES 2021 along with a new tablet known as Elite Folio and a new true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds. The latest HP Envy 14 laptop is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors packed by up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q graphics. It also consists of a physical shutter for the webcam and an intelligent AI Noise Removal feature. Apart from this, HP has also launched the HP Elite Dragonfly G2 laptop and HP Elite Dragonfly Max laptop, a new HP Elite Wireless Earbuds and HP Elite Folio tablet PC.
HP Envy 14 Laptop Price and Specifications
HP Envy 14 is available with a starting price of $999 which is approx. Rs. 73,300. It might be available for purchase sometime in January through HP.com. The laptop has a 14-inch WUXGA multitouch-enabled IPS display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It comes with 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 SoC powering integrated up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with Max-Q graphics and runs on Windows 10 Home. The laptop is coupled with 16GB of DDR4 RAM + 256GB SSD storage. It features a 720-pixel HD camera with shutter and incorporated with dual-array digital microphones.
It also has dual speakers with Bang and Olufsen audio and backlit keyboard support. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. It is backed by a 4-cell 63.3 Whr Li-ion polymer which promises to deliver up to 16.5 hours of battery life. It also comes with a physical shutter for the webcam and a dedicated mute microphone key available on the keyboard. The latest laptop has AI Noise Removal in order to mute background noise intelligently while using the speakers, headphones or using microphone during video chats, audio calls and recordings. The ports consist of Thunderbolt 4, Display port, two USB Type-A ports, one AC Smart pin, one headphone mic combo and one HDMI 2.0 port.
HP Elite Range of Laptops
HP’s Elite range consists of HP Elite Dragonfly G2, HP Elite Dragonfly Max, HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8, HP EliteBook x360 1030 G8, HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 and HP Elite x2 G8 laptops. HP Elite Dragonfly G2, HP Elite Dragonfly Max, HP EliteBook x360 1030 G8 and HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 might be available for purchase in January whereas HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 and HP Elite x2 G8 might be available in March and April respectively. Also, prices are expected to be disclosed closer to the launch.
HP Elite Dragonfly G2 and HP Elite Dragonfly Max Specifications
Both these laptops are convertible laptops and powered by the latest Intel 11th generation Tiger Lake processors and new Intel integrated graphics. They feature a 13.3-inch display and come with 32GB of RAM. The weight of HP Elite Dragonfly G2 is less than 1kg and includes audio by Bang and Olufsen. There is an on board 720-pixel HD camera with a shutter button available on the keyboard. The HP Elite Dragonfly Max is available in two colour options including Sparkling Black or Dragonfly Blue. It comes with four wide-range microphones with AI-driven audio optimization and a 5-megapixel + IR web camera with manual shutter.
HP EliteBook x360 1030 G8 and HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Specifications
They both are powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 U-Series processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The HP EliteBook x360 1030 G8 comes with a 13.3-inch FHD or UHD display whereas the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 comes with a 14-inch FHD or UHD display. Both the laptops have 32GB of RAM + up to 2TB of SSD storage. They support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 on the connectivity part. Both the laptops are convertible and can be used in tent mode as well.
HP Elite x2 G8 Laptop Specifications
HP Elite x2 G8 laptop features a 13-inch touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes with a stand at the back and it is built in a way so that it can be paired with HP-branded displays and accessories. It is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7 U-Series processors coupled with up to 16GB RAM + up to 2TB SSD storage. It has a 47Whr battery on board.
HP EliteBook 840 G8 Aero Specifications
HP EliteBook 840 G8 Aero is powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel UHD Graphics. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity. It comes with an integrated 720-pixel HD camera with a privacy shutter. Also there is a world-facing third microphone present outside the lid of the laptop, top-firing speakers and AI-based audio support. It features a traditional laptop design and comes with 64GB RAM + up to 2TB of SSD storage.
HP Elite Folio tablet PC Availability and Specifications
HP Elite Folio tablet PC is expected to be available for purchase in February and price is expected to be disclosed closer to its launch. This is a notebook PC which features a pull-forward form factor in order to make it usable as a tablet and a laptop both. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform and comes with Wi-Fi 6 and optional 5G connectivity options. This device delivers up to 24.5 hours of local video playback and has a 76-degree field of view webcam, dual microphone array and high-definition speakers with Bang and Olufsen audio. It has a 13.5-inch display with optional HP Sure View Reflect privacy panel and comes with an HD webcam with an in-built privacy shutter for improved security.
The device also comprises HP Elite Slim Active Pen integrated with charging and storage cradle for quick access. It comes with 16GB of RAM + up to 512GB of storage. It also has two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and a Nano-SIM slot. It is available in a single Shadow Black colour option.
HP Elite Wireless Earbuds Specifications
The pricing and availability of the latest HP Elite Wireless Earbuds are not known as of now. The latest earbuds come in a USB Type-C charging case with support to Bluetooth v5. Weight of each earbud is only 8 grams and the weight of the charging case is 66 grams. The HP Elite Wireless Earbuds support active noise cancellation feature and the driver size is listed to be at 9.2mm. It takes around 120 minutes to recharge the case fully. Other features of the earphones have not been revealed yet.
