HP introduces Spectre x360 15, Envy X2 Hybrid and more

American multinational information technology company HP has recently announced a stack of products at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The brand has introduced its first laptop which is powered by the latest Intel Core processors along with HP Envy x2, HP Pavilion Wave and OMEN gaming display and more.

HP Spectre x360 15

HP Spectre x360 15 is the first laptop to feature Intel’s latest state-of-the-art 8th generation Core i7-8705G processor with Radeon RX Vega M graphics. Also, there is another variant which features a quad-core 8th gen Intel Core processor along with Nvidia GeForce MX 150 graphics. The company has said that the Core i7 variant has a battery life of 12 hours while the latter gives upto 13.5 hours of battery backup. But, both the variants support fast charging technology.

The laptop has a 15.6-inch 4K (UHD) display with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The laptop runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system and comes with various security features which includes an IR camera with Windows Hello and a fingerprint scanner. The laptop will be available in the US starting March with a starting price tag of $1369.99 which is approx. INR 86906).

HP Envy x2

HP Envy x2 is an always-connected PC which comes with a fanless design. The device is equipped with a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ display and is powered by the 7th generation Intel CoreTN processor. The notebook is loaded with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage. The device runs on Windows 10 Home operating system and has battery backup of 15 hours.

Also, there is an additional feature of an IR camera with Windows Hello support. It comes with a 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front facing camera. The sound output is powered with dual Bang and Olufsen speakers and it comes bundled with HP Digital Pen and keyboard.  

HP Pavilion Wave

Back in September 2016 HP had introduced its Pavilion Wave PC and now the company has announced the latest device which comes loaded with Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa. It is the first PC which offers the duo of Windows 10 and Alexa.

The colourful LED on the front of the Pavilion Wave lets you know when Alexa is listening for a command. In order to capture the sound of a user’s voice from any angle HP has also incorporated Intel Smart Sound Technology which allows for 360 degree reflective audio. The device is expected to ship in spring 2018 with a starting price tag of $549.99 which is approx. INR 34888.
