Huawei is working on a laptop powered by the in-house Kirin 990 processor

Huawei is said to be working on new Kirin 990 processor-powered laptops. A new leak has disclosed the key specifications of an upcoming laptop by the Chinese brand, Huawei. As per a fresh leak, courtesy of a Weibo tipster shared an image of the notebook packaging via GSMArena. The laptop is given name as Qingyun L410 and will be powered by the in-house Kirin 990 processor based on 7nm+ EUV technology. It will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.

As per the leaked box the laptop will feature a 14-inch display and boots Linux-based Deepin OS 20 operating system along with a possibility to move to HarmonyOS in the near future. The upcoming laptop is expected to be an inexpensive version of the MateBook 14.

Moreover, as per GSMArena, there might be a possibility that the device will be supporting the fifth-generation connectivity given that the Kirin 990 SoC itself features an integrated 5G modem.

The upcoming notebook will launch first in China and then globally only if the company decides to launch it outside the home market. As of now, there is no official update regarding the launch and availability of the company’s own ARM-based HiSilicon chipset-powered laptops.
