Huawei launches MatePad T8 tablet with 8-inch display and 5,100mAh battery

Chinese technology giant Huawei has recently expanded its popular MatePad series of product portfolio by launching a brand new 8-inch tablet, dubbed as the Huawei MatePad T8 in the Indian tech market. Carried a price tag of Rs. 10,999, the new Huawei MatePad T8 is now already made available for purchase in Deepsea Blue colour option. The major highlights of the tablet are its huge 8.0-inch HD+ display, humongous 5,100mAh battery and Eye Comfort feature that the company claims it will alert users to adjust the viewing angle to protect their eyes from the harmful blue light.

MatePad T8 specifications and features:

In terms of specifications, the MatePad T8 comes packed with an 8-inch HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 1260 x 800 pixels, 80 percent screen-to-body ratio and the display has a pixel density of 189ppi. As we mentioned earlier, the display also comes engineered with Eye Comfort Mode for comfortable reading and better viewing angle. The tablet is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek MT8768 octa-core processor along with IMG GE8320 650 MHz GPU to handle the graphic contents. Talking about its memory department, the tablet is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

Talking about its operating system, the MatePad T8 runs Google’s latest Android operating system with the company’s proprietary EMUI 10 custom UI skin running on top of the device. Apart from this, the tablet also comes with Huawei App Gallery that allows users to access an array of applications. In terms of photography, the new MatePad T8 comes decorated with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Talking about its selfie camera, the tablet houses a 2-megapixel camera for making video calls and capturing selfies.

Connectivity options offered by the tablet include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, LTE Cat4, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS/Glonass, BeiDou, OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The tablet is fuelled by a high-density by a powerful 5,100mAh battery with 5W charging support. The Chinese vendor claims that the battery is able to deliver up to 12 hours of local video playback and up to 12 hours of web browsing on a single charge. Dimensionally, the MatePad T8 measures 199.70 x 121.10 x 8.55mm and weighs 310 grams.
