If you are looking to buy a tablet for yourself, there are not many options. You either end up buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab with Android platform or Apple iPad with iOS. Otherwise, there are more brands like Microsoft, TCL, Lenovo, and Huawei. Among those companies, Huawei is quite competitive when it comes to launching new products. As per the latest report, it has a plan to introduce a new Android tablet in its product portfolio very soon. The name of the new Huawei MatePad series tablet is unspecified. But the reports share that it will feature a 12.9-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Huawei MatePad tab will likely participate in the competition with Apple Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ & iPad Pro 2020.

Huawei’s latest MatePad tab will feature a thin metal body with narrow bezels for a better viewing experience. There might be no punch-hole camera in the tab which signals towards an under-display front-facing camera. Allegedly, the tablet will get its fuel from Kirin 9000 Series System-on-Chip.

Coming to the software, the Huawei latest tab will run PadOS. This OS is based on the Harmony OS system and particularly designed for the company’s tablets. The PadOS will likely succeed EMUI 10 which comes with Huawei MatePad T8.

Huawei could roll out its latest MatePad tablet in March 2021, in parallel to Huawei P50 series smartphones. The P50 series phones may run on Android 11-based EMUI 11.1. Also, reports disclose that Huawei’s upcoming smartphones will employ an innovative liquid lens technology. The technology will improve focusing speeds to gain millisecond-level focusing, closely on the lines of the human eye.

Anyway, Huawei has officially rolled out two tablets namely Huawei MediaPad M5 lite New Edition and Huawei MatePad T8 in 2020. The MediaPad M5 lite was rolled out last year but the company launched a new configuration model earlier this year. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite New Edition pairs with 4GB RAM plus 64GB internal storage.

The Huawei MatePad T8 was introduced in September 2020. Being an entry-level tablet for beginners, the MatePad T8 starts at Rs. 10,999 in India. The tablet sports an 8-inch display for media consumption and comes in a single color option. The tablet packs a 5100mAh battery which the company claims can power the device for up to 12 hours of video playback and web browsing. The MatePad T8 comes powered by an Octa-core chipset, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage configuration.
