Infinix has just launched a new enthralling smartphone, called the Infinix Zero 8i in the Indian market. The handset comes with a perfect blend of unique design language and good value specs. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, quad-camera setup, 90Hz refresh rate, and more. Infinix is ready to challenge the likes of Realme and Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO with Infinix Zero 8i. Both the smartphone brands presently have their best-selling models, Realme 7 and POCO M2 Pro. Both of these are absolutely popular in this price range and are feature-rich. Let’s find out which one is actually better. 

Infinix Zero 8i vs Realme 7 vs Poco M2 Pro: Design comparison

The Infinix Zero 8i comes with a blend of gradient and matte texture. The top half of the device features a matte texture with a frost-like finish, while the second half comes with a gradient all of which is designed like a Gem cut. The camera module also looks well defined as compared to the other smartphones at this price point. Besides, there is a pill-shaped camera module on the front, which is unique at this price range.

Moving to the Realme 7, the smartphone features a mirror-like design, which gives a premium feel and look. The back panel throws back the light, which gives a superior look. But, just like most of the Realme smartphones in this price range, this one too looks quite similar to the rest of its siblings. The back camera is vertically positioned and there is a single punch-hole cut out for the front selfie camera.

Coming to POCO M2 Pro, the smartphone is a rip-off of the Redmi Note 9 Pro with some notable swaps. The company has introduced a slightly different design with a dual-tone finish along with a minute change in the camera module. The smartphone does look pretty better than the Redmi Note 9 Pro and it even has a punch-hole cutout on the front. 

Although all three smartphones own some good design, it is Infinix Zero 8i that looks better defined than the rest of the competitors.

The Infinix Zero 8i sports a 6.85-inch Full HD plus LCD display with a screen resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone screen also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate along with 480nits brightness. The Realme 7 sports a 6.5-inch Full HD plus LCD display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a 120Hz touch sampling rate. On the other hand, the POCO M2 Pro sports a 6.67-inch Full HD plus display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. 

All three smartphones offer the same resolution, but Infinix Zero 8i and Realme 7 offer a higher refresh rate.

The Infinix Zero 8i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T processor along with a Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 10 OS based on XOS 7.0.

The Realme 7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor along with a Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It also runs on Android 10 OS with Realme UI on top of it.

Finally, the POCO M2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor along with Adreno 618 GPU. The smartphone pairs with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 on top of it. 

All three smartphones come with some superior specs at this price range. The actual competition is between Infinix Zero 8i and Realme 7, while the POCO M2 Pro also gives tough competition to both the devices.

The Infinix Zero 8i houses a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and AI lens. On the front, there is a dual-selfie camera setup with a 16MP primary lens and 8MP ultra-wide camera with dual-LED flash.

The Realme 7i also houses a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro shooter, and 2MP B&W portrait lens. On the front side, it has a 16MP selfie shooter. The POCO M2 Pro comes with a 48MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro shooter, and 2MP depth sensor. About the front camera, there is a 16MP selfie shooter. 

The Realme 7 offers finer rear cameras, while Infinix Zero 8i offers much better selfie cameras.

The Infinix Zero 8i is backed with a 4,500mAh battery and comes with 33W fast charging support. The Realme 7 is backed with a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Finally, the POCO M2 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging solution.

All three smartphones pack long-lasting batteries along with fast charging support. But, it is POCO M2 Pro that has a better battery capacity and notably better fast charging solution.

The Infinix Zero 8i India price for the 8GB plus 128GB model is Rs. 14,999 and is available for purchase on Flipkart. The Realme 7 carries a price tag of Rs. 14,999 for 6GB plus 64GB version and Rs. 16,999 for 6GB plus 128GB variant. The POCO M2 Pro is priced at Rs. 13,999 for 4GB plus 64GB, Rs. 14,999 for 6GB plus 64GB, and Rs. 16,999 for 6GB plus 128GB of internal storage. 

Undoubtedly, POCO M2 Pro completely covers a wide spectrum in terms of price, but it is Infinix Zero 8i that offers much better RAM and storage considering the price point.

The results are quite amazing. The Infinix Zero 8i is pretty close to the Realme 7 and POCO M2 Pro in terms of performance. The latest smartphone from Infinix offers a unique design coupled with some great features. Realme 7 is also feature-loaded and stands pretty close in terms of performance. The POCO M2 Pro also doesn’t lag behind and manages to give tough competition to Infinix Zero 8i and Realme 7.
