In the recent reports, Instagram is working on a new interesting feature. This new feature will allow its users to post their stories directly to WhatsApp. The Facebook owned messaging app is running a test to let the users post their Stories directly to WhatsApp as their WhatsApp Status.
According to the latest report by TechCrunch, an Instagram story posted as a WhatsApp Status will be encrypted just like the rest of WhatsApp. A spokesperson told the publication -“We are always testing new ways in improving the user experience on Instagram and making it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you.”
Through this feature, users will get an option to tap to share to WhatsApp from Instagram sharing and they have to press the send option in WhatsApp to post their story. This new feature will surely be beneficial for both Instagram and WhatsApp as it will make it easier for users to share on a cross-platform. This will help both the platforms to boost more traffic also.
Previously, Instagram rolled out the new feature which allows users to follow hashtags. It is an easier and entertaining platform to stay connected with an individual’s interests, hobbies, passions and communities and the person you care about. The feature is available for both iOS and Android phones.
Now the hashtags will also have a follow option similar to the user’s page. With this option users will be able to follow their favourite content on the application. For an example, suppose if a person is interested in cooking or may be in art, then the user need to follow the #cooking/#art page and will be able to see the public photos shared with these specific hashtags.
Users will have to start by launching the Instagram application to use the new feature. All you need to do is just select the search tab at the bottom and look for a hashtag in which you are interested. Then, choose the preferred hashtag from the displayed options and simply click on the following option of the page and you are good to go.
