Lenovo has announced a new version of its Yoga Slim 7i Pro laptop with OLED display which arrived initially with an IPS LCD. The new variant was revealed during the virtual CES 2021 and is the first laptop in the Lenovo Yoga line up to provide an immersive OLED display technology upgrade.
As per the company, Chrominance attributes (chroma) in the OLED display are expanded by up to 1.25 times the amount given in LCD along with an amplified contrast ratio for 667 times more definition as compared to LCD. Moreover, the OLED display also provides reduced blue light emissions by up to 70 percent than LCD displays.
The new device comes with a 14-inch display with an up to 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. The display of the laptop comes with 100 percent DCI-P3 and 125 percent sRGB color gamut. The new device also supports Dolby Vision for an ultimate picture quality.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED laptop is Intel Evo-certified and is powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processors under the hood with Intel Iris Xe graphics or up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics. It is coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD.
On the connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth v5.0, WiFi 6, one USB-A, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4ports and an audio combo jack. It is backed by a 61WHr battery which provides 18 hours of battery life.
Other features of the laptop comprises Harman speakers and Dolby Atmos and an IR Camera with dual mics. As of now, there is no information regarding the pricing and availability of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED Laptop. But, this has been confirmed by the company that the laptop will be available in the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions.
