Lenovo Legion Phone Duel listed on Lenovo India site before its official launch

Lenovo is likely to launch its gaming centric smartphone, Lenovo Legion Phone Duel in the Indian market very soon. As of now, there are no details about price or the date of launch but some of the specifications of the gaming smartphone have been highlighted on the site. The price of the new gaming smartphone in India is still unclear however, it is available in the UK for starting GBP 800 which is approx. Rs. 78000 for the 12GB + 256GB storage model whereas 16GB + 512GB variant is available with a price tag of GBP 900 which is approx. Rs. 87600. Lenovo had first launched the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel this year in the month of July in Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Latin America. But, there was no announcement about the launch in India.

Executive Director at Lenovo PC and Smart Devices, Shailendra Katyal had said in an interview with Gadgets 360 that its launch in India was delayed because of its high price. He further added that the “Legion phone would instead come to India when the price point becomes more acceptable, and the retail network is better equipped.”

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is powered by next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC along with 144Hz display. It is available in two storage options and can be purchased in two attractive colour options – Blazing Blue or Vengeance Red. It has an AMOLED full HD+ display of 6.65 inch with 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC which is accompanied by Qualcomm Adreno 650 GPU. The phone is coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the new smartphone supports dual-SIM cards (Nano) and runs on Android 10-based ZUI 12 (Legion OS).

The smartphone also comes with Legion Assistant, a dashboard which allows users to see real-time metrics and activate gaming modes like “Overclocking” mode. As far as the camera is concerned the back panel consists of a dual-rear camera setup comprising a 64 megapixel primary camera with f/1.89 aperture and a 16 megapixel ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture. Also, there is a 20 megapixel camera inside a pop-up module for selfies.

Other features include a 5000mAh battery which is made of two 2500mAh batteries which supports 90W Turbo Power charging. Company also claims that the Turbo solution can provide a full battery in just 30 minutes whereas the phone gets charged up to 50 percent within 10 minutes of fast charging. On the connectivity front, it includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / A-GPS, NFC and two USB Type-C ports. Also, it consists of dual front-facing speakers and a quad-microphone system with Qualcomm noise reduction technology.
