Mi Band 5 India Launch Date announced, Mi Watch and Smart Bulb Expected to debut soon

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced that it will be launching a new smartband, called the Mi Band 5 in the Indian tech market on September 29. The company has already started sending out the media invites for its upcoming annual Smarter Living event. Apart from this, the company may also launch a range of IoT products at the event and one of the devices will be new Mi Band 5.

Unfortunately, the pricing details and the availability of the Mi Band 5 have not been revealed by the company yet but as expected it might be revealed on the day of launching. On the other hand, the e-commerce website Amazon India, through a teaser on their website, has announced that their e-commerce platform will be the exclusive retail partner for the Mi Band 5.

The teaser discloses that the fitness band will launch on September 29. The event will jumpstart at 12:00 PM. The landing page has shown some of the features of the upcoming Mi Band 5. This includes a bigger brighter display, long-lasting battery life, fast charging support, personal health assistant, new Yoga mode, and 4 sports modes. The Chinese vendor launched Mi Band 5 in the month of June (2018) in the company’s hometown.

Mi Watch Revolve, Smart Bulb, and a few more expected:

Apart from the Mi Band 5, Xiaomi might also introduce its first smartwatch for the Indian market. The company might launch the Mi Watch Revolve, which is a successor of the Mi Watch Color. The company is also expected to launch a new smart bulb along with other IoT products like air purifiers, smart shoes, smart speakers, and more. However, more details regarding it will be known in the coming days.

Mi Band 5 specifications

Mi Band 5 is available in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Yellow, and Orange color strap options. The smart band has a 1.1-inch color AMOLED display with a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. The wearable currently has 11 sports modes and Mi has also already confirmed that it will add 4 more sports modes and a dedicated Yoga mode with Mi Band 5.

Further, the fitness band features a PPG sensor for heart-rate monitoring and supports sleep monitoring as well. It has a 125mAh battery that delivers up to 14 days of battery backup on a single charge. The device has a dedicated health mode that helps women to track their menstrual cycle. Interestingly, it also has PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) and has a remote shutter button for taking photos from a smartphone.
