Motorola Nio tipped to feature Snapdragon 865 SoC, triple rear camera setup

Motorola Nio is the next flagship smartphone of the company owned by Lenovo, according to the latest leak. The phone reportedly carried a model number XT2125 with the codename ‘Nio’. The new development was shared by a German publication. The new report indicates that the Motorola Nio could be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC like the Motorola Edge + which was launched earlier of this year as the company’s flagship Smartphone. The Motorola Nio is also expected to come with a triple rear camera setup and has two RAM and storage configurations.

As reported by TechnikNews, a Motorola phone with model number XT2125 and codename ‘Nio’ is working in association with Adam Conway of XDA developers and could be another flagship of the company. The report states that this may be the first Motorola phone to run Android 11 out of the box. It can have a full-HD + (1,080 × 2,520 pixels) display with a high refresh rate of at least 90 Hz. The size of the display is unclear.

The rumour may come in the Motorola Nio 8GB + 128GB storage configuration as well as the 12GB + 256GB storage model. However, the report suggests that the latter is not completely confirmed.

In terms of optics, the alleged Motorola phone may come with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B primary sensor. It is expected to have a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens named OV16A10, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor called OV02B1B. On the front side, the Motorola Nio is expected to come with two cameras, a 16-megapixel sensor (OV16A1Q) and a hole-punch cut-out design from Samsung (S5K4H7) with an 8-megapixel sensor.

According to the report, the phone will be launched in the first quarter of next year. As of now, Motorola has made no official statement about the company’s upcoming flagship device.
