Sony PlayStation 5 will hit the global markets on 19th November, but the company has now confirmed that there is no official launch date for the Indian market yet and although pricing details for new consoles in India that include a digital PS5 and standard PS5 with disk drives have been revealed for some time, Sony has yet to share its exact availability details for Indian customers. The delay will be a shock to many fans who have been expecting him for months. Meanwhile, the latest consoles from Microsoft, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are available for purchase in India. On the other hand, the sale of PS5 has already started in some countries like the USA and Japan.

In a Facebook post today, Sony said that the company will share more details about the PS5 launch in India, as soon as the local import rules and other conditions are met. Similar factors are also important for other countries, so it is likely that the PS5 console will not arrive in many markets on 19th November.

Over the past few months, Sony has been regularly sharing publicity around its PS5 console with such FAQs, tampering videos, and the like. Earlier this week, Sony released a comprehensive FAQ list, which answers questions about PlayStation 5 game compatibility, regional reach, connectivity features, performance and more.

Previously, it was revealed that PS5 consoles were backward compatible although ten PlayStation 4 titles did not work. Similarly, users can already book multiple games for new games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Far Cry 6 and NBA 2K21 Forever Edition, and more. Additionally, Sony has also stated that the new consoles will be offered with only one colour.

Customers can still purchase PS5 skins from third party vendors. It costs Rs. 49,990 for the standard version while the PS digital version costs Rs. 39,990.

Both PlayStation models have the same specifications, with the only difference being the presence or absence of a disc player.
