Nokia laptops reportedly receive BIS certification; may launch in India soon

Finnish smartphone manufacturer, Nokia may launch its laptop lineup in India shortly. Few Nokia laptops have reportedly received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), according to reports. The proposed Nokia laptops were certified by the BIS on 27th November 2020 and it is being speculated as solid evidence for the laptops to enter India. The BIS listing says that the Nokia laptops will be produced by Tongfang Limited in China.

Renowned tipster Mukul Sharma, better known as @stufflistings on Twitter, has spotted the Nokia laptops on the BIS website.

In a series of tweets, Sharma anticipates that Nokia could roll out up to 9 laptop models according to the BIS list. The BIS listing shows 9 laptops codenamed NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S, NKi310UL41S, and NKi310UL85S. The first two letters of the codename represent Nokia, the next two letters represent the Laptop processor, and the codename number 10 means Windows 10.

If the report is correct, it’s yet not known when exactly the company will roll out a laptop. More about it will be known only when some more news would be coming in from the company officials.
