The next generation of OnePlus’ smartphones has been in the news for a long time. Recently, the smartphone’s camera specifications were leaked, which hinted at the OnePlus 9 comes with a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens in its rear camera module. Now, the OnePlus 9 Pro’s CAD-based renders suggest that the smartphone may adapt design bits from both the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T smartphones.
OnePlus 9 Pro design renders reveal key features and specifications:
OnePlus 9 Pro will be a premium offering from the brand with flagship features. At the front, the smartphone will feature a big 6.7-inch display with curved edges and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. The power button is located on the right edge, leaving an area for the volume keys on the left edge. At the bottom edge are the mic, speakers, and USB Type-C port.
Being a high-end offering, the OnePlus 9 Pro will come with a glass back. The rear panel features a quad-camera setup. Online leaks state that the rear cameras are an array of four sensors but the layout could see a change in the future. In the current design, two of the four camera lenses are enclosed within huge metal rings which protrude slightly from the main camera bump. Detailed specifications of the camera sensors are not known yet.
The tipster is definite about the OnePlus 9 series launch in March 2021.We can expect the OnePlus 9 Pro to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor, which is scheduled to release at the Qualcomm Summit in December 2020. The device is also expected to feature a dual stereo-speaker setup, NFC, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Just like the OnePlus 8T, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone would feature 65W fast charging alongside fast wireless charging.
