OnePlus is in the works of developing a smart fitness band. The OnePlus band is now officially teased in the country prior to its launch. The band will be available for purchase on Amazon India in addition to the OnePlus website.

OnePlus has teased its fitness band on its OnePlus India Twitter handle with a promotional poster displaying the band with a curved screen. The teaser says “The New Face of Fitness” is coming soon along with the hashtag #SmartEverywear. The OnePlus Band’s pre-launch page is also live on the brand’s website.

Besides, OnePlus is also running the ‘Pursuit of Fitness’ quiz prior to the OnePlus Band roll-out which will let you have a chance to win the band. One has to answer all the quiz questions correctly every day to win the band.

OnePlus Band specifications (expected)

As per a video posted by tipster Mukul Sharma on YouTube, the OnePlus Band will feature a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch display, SpO2 blood saturation monitoring, 24×7 heart rate monitoring, 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, Bluetooth 5.0, IP68 dust & water resistance rating, and multiple exercise modes. The OnePlus Band is also said to last up to 14 days with its 100mAh battery. The gadget is said to measure 40.4×17.6×11.45mm and weigh 10.3 grams (tracker only).

Another leak by Mukul Sharma suggested three color variants of the band (black, blue, and orange) with different clock styles.

OnePlus Band is going to be the company’s first wearable and will take on Xiaomi’s Mi Band 5. The smart band is likely to carry a price tag of around $40. The band will initially debut in India followed by more regions later on. It is tipped to carry a price tag of Rs. 2,499 in India, placing it in the same price range as Mi Band 5, which also costs Rs. 2,499.

OnePlus is also likely to roll-out its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch this year. Last month, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had confirmed that the OnePlus smartwatch will be rolled out in early 2021.
