OnePlus Education Benefits Program launched in India; Rs. 1,000 off on mobiles

OnePlus has announced a new program for students and teachers in India. The new education benefit program is available with exclusive perks and discounts. Program beneficiaries with immediate rebate of Rs. 1,000 for buying smartphones or TVs from the brand and 5% off on any OnePlus accessory for all university or college goers across the country.

To take advantage of the offers in the OnePlus education benefit program, qualified students or teachers must verify that they are indeed attending a university or college. On its forums, OnePlus confirmed that it has partnered with Student Beans to make the verification process easier. Once students complete the verification process conducted by Student Beans, their OnePlus account will receive a new coupon voucher that can be added while checking. Eligible users can verify here.

Currently, only enrolled students and faculty members are eligible for this exemption. You can use this benefit only once a year. In addition, you can get 5% off on many accessories including cases, security and audio equipment. Coupon vouchers issued to students and teachers will only be tied to their OnePlus account and can only be redeemed by the same person. In particular, the voucher expires after one year of verification and users can obtain another voucher after re-verification.

OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 8T smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 42,999. The phone comes in two storage configurations 8 GB + 128 GB storage option price at Rs. 42,999, while the 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 45,999. Key features include a 120Hz display and a 4,500mAh battery that claims to be fully charged in just 39 minutes and also it supports 65W fast charging above the 30W charge capacity of the OnePlus 8.
