Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G to launch in India on January 18

Chinese mobile manufacturer Oppo has announced that the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will launch on January 18 at 12:30pm IST in India. The Oppo Reno 5 series made its debut last month in China which included Oppo Reno 5 5G, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G and Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G and the Oppo Reno 5 4G variant was launched in Vietnam a few days ago. As of now, only the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has been confirmed to launch in India and it might be possible that the company plans to launch the other models also in the near future in India.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Launch date in India & Expected Price

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will launch on January 18 at 12:30pm IST in India and as of now price and sale date of the phone has not been shared. Moreover, the brand will organise an event for the launch of the phone.

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G was launched in China last year during early December with two storage configurations. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is available for CNY 3399 which is approx. Rs. 38,200 and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is available for CNY 3799 which is approx. Rs. 42,700. The phone is available in three beautiful colour options which are Aurora Blue, Moonlight Night and Starry Night.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Specifications 

The features and specifications of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G in India are expected to be the same as the Chinese variant. The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ OLED curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate and screen resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The phone has a 92.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and 402ppi pixel density. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC under the hood paired with ARM G77 MC9 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top. The phone comes with up to 256GB non expandable on board storage. The storage configurations of the phone might also vary for the Indian market.

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has a quad rear camera setup at the back for photography and videography which comprises a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel portrait shooter with an f/2.4 lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with f/2.4 lens. There is a 32-megapixel sensor housed in a hole-punch cut out placed at the top left corner of the screen for selfies.

On the connectivity front, it includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Glonass, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone is backed by a 4,350mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. On board sensors of the phone include a geomagnetic sensor, proximity sensor, gravity sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Its dimensions measure 159.7×73.2×7.6mm and weigh 173 grams.

As of now, it is not clear whether the other phones of the Oppo Reno 5 series will make their way to the Indian market or not.
