Xiaomi sub-brand Poco, which has become a liberated brand earlier this year, has rolled out some great budget-friendly smartphones in India so far. Now it seems like that the company is planning to enter into the laptop segment in 2021, as the batteries of Poco branded laptops have recently been spotted on Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website.

Well-known tipster Mukul Sharma has recently shared a screenshot of the BIS certification via his twitter account. The tweet reads, “2 new laptop batteries (R15B02W, R14B02W) have now received the Indian BIS certification, but this time they are listed under the POCO branding. POCO laptops?”

The certification shows 2 battery designs under the brand names: Poco and Mi, which means these Poco laptops could be rebuilt as Mi laptops. However, this is not a matter of surprise as already many Poco phones have been rebadged as Redmi devices in India.

Poco India hasn’t yet made any official announcement regarding any details of its laptops in India; but, the company is likely to bring some teasers at the beginning of year 2021.

Poco is also independently working on its truly wireless earbuds known as Pop Buds. It is going to be the first ever audio product from the smartphone brand.
