The much-expected launch of PUBG India rival Fearless And United: Guards (FAU-G) mobile game is set for this month. Bangalore-based game developer, nCore Games, along with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar disclosed the release date on Twitter along with the game’s anthem song video. According to the tweet, the game will release on Republic Day, January 26.
The game has been available for pre-registration only on Google Play since the beginning of December, and there is yet no information on if and when pre-registration will be available on the Apple App Store as well. The tweet also contains a trailer for the game that doesn’t really reveal what the gameplay would be like. It comes to an end with “Proudly Supporting Bharat Ke Veer #AatmanirbharBharat.”
A few days ago, nCore Games via its twitter announced that the pre-registrations in India crossed 1 million in less than a day.
The description of the game on Google Play says that it is based on real-world scenarios and “brings to life the thrill and adrenaline of a life spent guarding India’s borders.” The first trailer launched in October, also by Akshay Kumar, displayed the theme of the game, and the company’s co-founder Vishal Gondal said that the first level is based on Galwan Valley. The upcoming game’s new anthem sung by popular Bollywood playback singer Sukhwinder Singh.
nCore Games originally prepared to launch the game in October but that did not happen. The company then tweeted that FAU-G will be launched in November without sharing an exact date. Vishal Gondal said that the game plans to reach the 20 crore-users mark within a year.
nCore Games has also made a promise to donate 20% of the earnings collected from FAU-G to the government’s Bharat Ke Veer initiative.
