PUBG Mobile developers have announced that they will create a new game to serve Indian players – PUBG Mobile India. Back in September, PUBG Mobile was banned by the Indian government and at the same time, PUBG Corporation announced that it will no longer allow the PUBG Mobile franchise to Shenzhen-based Tencent Games in India. While the team had announced that the game will not be accessible for Indian users starting October 30 but, it was still playable for some people who have installed the game to their Android and iOS devices.
PUBG Corporation has announced that they are gearing up to launch a new game created specifically for the Indian market – PUBG Mobile India. As announced by PUBG Corporation, “The new game will maximize data security for its players and adhere to the local regulations.” PUBG Corporation further added that in order to make sure that the data is safe, there will be regular audits and verifications on the storage systems which will store the personal information of Indian users.
The developers also said that they will boost in-game content and also customise it to reflect local needs. These changes consist of a virtual simulation training ground setting, new character clothing and instead of red, green hit effects. A new feature will also be added which will restrict game time for younger players.
Moreover, PUBG Corporation is also planning to set up a local office where over 100 employees will be hired to improve communications and services with players. The developers also added “In addition to establish a local office, the company will look to actively collaborate and leverage local businesses to strengthen its gaming service.” As of now the release date for PUBG Mobile India has not been confirmed by the Company.
