Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker is all set to introduce a bunch of new devices in India. Last month also Xiaomi launched a couple of new handsets. The POCO M3 went official in global markets and the Redmi Note 9 4G, Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G were announced in China. As per the fresh information, it reveals that some of these devices will be arriving in India although different bynames. They have appeared on various platforms like Google Support Devices list, Google Play Console and the FCC.
Fresh information reveals that the Redmi Note 9 4G might launch in India as the Redmi 9 Power. Also, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G might launch as the Xiaomi Mi 10i in India. The POCO M3 handset is likely to come in India and in addition with this the Redmi Note 9 5G is coming to some markets as the Redmi Note 9T. One should also be aware that the Xiaomi phones debuting in China, India and Global markets have C, I and G mentioned at the end of their model numbers.
POCO M3, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9T
The POCO M3 which debuted in global markets bears model numbers M2010J19CG and M2010J19CT. Its Indian variant has appeared in the Google Supported Devices list with model number M2010J19CI which hints its launch in the country soon.
The Redmi Note 9 4G debuted last month in China with M2010J19SC model number. Its Indian variant with model number M2010J19SI has appeared in the Google Supported Devices list and Google Play Console. This indicates that Redmi Note 9 4G which launched in China will come to India as the Redmi 9 Power.
A variant of the POCO M3 bearing M2010J19SG model number will debut as the Redmi 9T in some markets as per the recent FCC listing. Based on the FCC and Google Play Console listings, it can be assumed that the POCO M3, Redmi Note 9 4G i.e. Redmi 9 Power for India and Redmi 9T are identical in terms of specification and differ only in camera.
The POCO M3 has a triple camera set up including 48-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors. The Redmi Note 9 4G (Redmi 9 Power) also has triple camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Whereas the Redmi 9T has a quad-camera setup including a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel super wide lens and a pair of 2-megapixel lenses.
Hence, the Redmi 9 Power for India is expected to feature a 6.53-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 662 chipset, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.
Xiaomi Mi 10i might revamped as Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G for India
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T Lite during September in global markets. A modified version of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite bearing M2007J17G model number with a new 108-megapixel camera was announced as the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G bearing M2007J17C model number in China. The unannounced Xiaomi Mi 10i phone having model number M2007J17I found listed on the Google Supported Devices and Google Play Console indicating that it might come in India as the revamped version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
The Xiaomi Mi 10i for India is expected to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, 108-megapixel quad cameras, Snapdragon 750G, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 9T might revamped as Redmi Note 9 5G
A new phone called Redmi Note 9T bearing M2007J22G model number has been certified on Thailand’s and Malaysia’s certification platforms. It appears to be a global version of China’s Redmi Note 9 5G. The Redmi Note 9 5G features a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen, 48-megapixel triple rear cameras, Dimensity 800U, a 13-megapixel front camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. Currently it is not clear whether the Redmi Note 9T will launch in India or not.
