Redmi, Mi, Poco phone users experiencing bootloop issue, Xiaomi promises to provide solutions

Mi, Redmi, and Poco users are currently facing an issue that puts their phones into a boot loop, forcing those to restart again and again. The problem arises after the phones receive an error that reads “Find Device closed unexpectedly”. It seems to have impacted a large number of mobile users. Xiaomi is investigating the issue and said in a statement that it has emerged due to certain lines of code misbehaving during an app update. A fix for the problem has also been promised by the company, and it will reach affected users shortly.

As per the error reports by users on social media, the phones running on MIUI 12.05 Global Stable ROM appear to have majorly impacted due to the issue. The influenced users are not able to make any changes from their end as the phone starts rebooting in the loop. Some users have even lost their data as they had to reset their phones in the end.

The issue is not limited to any specific smartphone series and has been reported in a list of Mi, Redmi, and Poco devices, including the Mi 10, Mi 10T Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 9, and Poco X3. Also, it does not seem to be limited to India only as some users from Nigeria have also reported a similar problem on Twitter.

Xiaomi has promised that a fix will reach the influenced users by next week. Affected users on social media seem to have been reporting the issue since weeks ago. Users say that their devices reboot endlessly and are not able to get out of the boot loop state. Several users have even lost all the data as they had to finally reset their phones. The company assured that an update will arrive this week and some ‘temporary containment measures’ are already taken.
