Redmi Note 9 series may get a new model with 120Hz display, AdaptiveSync support


Redmi Note 9 variant featuring a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and AdaptiveSync technology may be rolled out soon, as per a report. A tipster has shared some information on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo claiming that the top-end variant of a new Redmi Note 9 series model will sport a 6.7-inch FHD LCD display that comes secured with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. 

The regular and high-end models will come with 5G support, 108 MP camera, up to 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole displays, and more. The prices and the launch date of the new models are yet to be revealed, but apparently,, the official announcement regarding the same will be made soon.

New Redmi Note 9 leaked specifications

The regular Redmi Note 9 phone is tipped to feature a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a single hole-punch cutout on the corner for the selfie camera. The smartphone comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. It is backed with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. The Redmi Note 9 will sport a 48MP triple camera system in a matrix design and a 13MP front-facing camera. The new model is tipped to measure 161.96×77.25×9.20mm and weigh 200 grams. 

The Redmi Note 9 high-end variant is said to flaunt a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and AdaptiveSync feature which can intelligently switch between refresh rates ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz. As per the tipster, the device will house a quad-camera setup that includes a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor and a 16MP front camera for selfies. The 5G phone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset. It will have a 4,820mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. The device is said to measure 165.4×76.8×9.0mm and weigh 214.5 grams.
