Samsung announces Galaxy Chromebook 2 with QLED FHD touchscreen display

Samsung’s line up of Galaxy laptop has been growing rapidly in the past couple of years. The latest device to enter in the family is the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2. This new 2-in-1 laptop features a QLED FHD touchscreen display which is a first among Chromebooks. The new laptop is configured with up to a 10th Intel Core i3 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM and many more.

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 will be available for $549 which is approx. Rs. 40,300. It will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Grey colour options.

The laptop comes with a 13.3-inch QLED display which delivers a bright and vivid viewing experience for movie watchers, creators, students and more. It also supports any Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) in order to make it ideal for quickly taking down notes or making a digital art.

The new laptop is expected to be configured with up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i3-10110U and with 4 or 8GB of RAM. The keyboard of the laptop is backlit and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 both. It runs Chrome OS since it is a Chromebook with integrations to several Google services like Google Drive, Google Meet, etc.

Shoneel Kolhatkar, General Manager, Head of New Computing, Samsung Electronics America commented regarding the launch and said, “Many kids grew up using Chromebooks in school, and as they enter the workforce and their needs evolve, they’re looking for premium, powerful hardware that can elevate that intuitive Google experience. We designed the Galaxy Chromebook 2 with these users in mind, taking the popular features from Galaxy Chromebook—incredible visuals, great specs, and gorgeous design and color—and bringing them to a wider base of customers”.
