Samsung Galaxy A70 starts receiving One UI 2.5 update in India

Samsung Galaxy A70 has now started receiving One UI 2.5 update in India. To recall, the device received the latest update in Ukraine last week and it is now received the latest firmware in India as well. The One UI 2.5 update reportedly brings the November 2020 Android Security Patch with it. Apart from the usual One UI 2.5 additions, the report states that the update will improve the video recording in the camera’s Super Steady Mode as well.

According to a report by SamMobile, the One UI 2.5 update for Samsung Galaxy A70 intended for India carries the firmware version A705GMDDU5CTK4 that has a volume of 1.23GB. Users can download the update by tapping on the notification once it hits their phones. In case, a user hasn’t received a notification yet, he/she can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check and install the software.

Apart from including the November security patch, the update also brings Bitmoji stickers for the Always on Display and a new Split Keyboard mode when the Samsung Keyboard remains in the landscape mode.

The report further adds that Galaxy A70 users, after downloading the update will have access to new information while joining with Wi-Fi networks, especially about the quality of the connection. The latest update is also making it easier to request Wi-Fi passwords, for the users.

The South Korean tech company launched the Galaxy A70 in India last year. The phone received an Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update in India earlier this year. As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone sports a 6.7-inch Full HD plus Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor and backed with a 4,500mAh battery which it claims, lasts up to two days.

The phone houses a triple-camera setup at the back, which comes with a combination of a 32-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 123-degree field-of-view, and a 5-megapixel depth-sensing camera. On the front, it features a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
