Samsung has teased its new OLED displays for laptops, highlighting their superior image quality. The South Korean tech giant teased the qualities of its OLED screens for laptops, through a video uploaded on YouTube carrying the title Samsung OLED for laptops: Superior Image Quality. The company said that the new screens will offer cinematic and ultrapure colors. Samsung claims in the video that the OLED screens will also offer great visibility during outdoor operations in the sun. The company also claims that the OLED screens for laptops will offer 85 % HDR coverage.
The video discloses that the OLED panels will offer 120 % DCI-P3 color gamut, which is one of the highest in the laptop section. Basically, the conventional screen offers 74 % DCI-P3 color gamut.
The brand reveals that the panel will offer cinematic colors with ultrapure color in the color spectrum that are much better than the conventional screens. Moreover, the screen will offer better visibility under sunlight in comparison to other laptop screens. Further, the panels will offer 85 % HDR coverage, including true black colors (0.0005 nits) and a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
Samsung says that the screens will be able to show bright highlights and dark details at the same time in a scene. Finally, the company says that the new OLED screens will ‘breathe life into each frame’. This is all that is known about the new Samsung OLED screens for laptops to the date.
