Tecno, a Chinese smartphone maker has launched its first gaming-centric smartphone in Nigeria and the Philippines. The smartphone is named “Tecno Pova” and is a mid-range offering that packs satisfactory specifications at its price. It is the company’s latest gaming-centric phone. As we mentioned, the device has already gone official in several markets and the company is now all set to launch the device in the Indian market. The launch event is scheduled for 12 pm on December 4, according to the teaser page on e-commerce giant, Flipkart.
Some of the highlights of the Tecno Pova include quad-cameras, a punch-hole display, gradient design, a Helio G80 processor, and a bigger battery. Check below, what the smartphone offers out of the box.
Tecno Pova specifications and features:
Tecno Pova sports a 6.8-inch HD plus display with a punch-hole camera. The smartphone comes powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device has a quad-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor. It also has an 8-megapixel selfie camera along with a dual flash. The other 3 rear cameras will have two 2-megapixel sensors, and an AI HD lens, based on a tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma.
Tecno Pova is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for an 18W flash charge. The smartphone is said to last for 30 days on standby, 8 days of music playback, and a talk time of 64 hours. On the software front, Tecno Pova runs Android with HiOS layered on top. It has connectivity options that include 4G LTE, FM, Wi-Fi, and OTG as well.
Tecno Pova pricing and availability:
Tecno hasn’t revealed the pricing of its latest smartphone in Nigeria but it is already on sale in the Philippines for P 6,999 (~Rs. 10,750) via the e-commerce platform Shopee. The price of the Tecno Pova in the Indian market can be expected somewhere around Rs. 10,000. The smartphone is offered in Speed Purple, Magic Blue, and Dazzle Black color options.
