Vivo X60 and X60 Pro launched with 6.56-inch AMOLED display, Exynos 1080 SoC, ZEISS cameras: Price & specifications

Vivo X60 and X60 Pro specifications, prices, and sale dates have been officially declared. The company has launched both the smartphones in the company’s homeland, China, while the flagship Vivo X60 Pro+ with Snapdragon 888 SoC will be launched in January. Vivo X60 and X60 Pro both feature a punch-hole design with a rectangular camera setup at the back. These are the world’s first handsets powered by 5G capable Samsung’s Exynos 1080 SoCs. Other specifications comprise a 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ display, 48-megapixel primary camera, ZEISS optical lens, up to 4,300mAh battery, and 33W fast charging solution. 

Vivo X60 series: Specifications

Vivo X60 Pro is the more powerful out of the two phones. The handset sports a 6.56-inch AMOLED display capable of FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone’s display also features a punch-hole, support for HDR10+, and DCI-P3 color gamut.

Coming to the hardware, the smartphone offers a 5nm Exynos 1080 SoC coupled with 12GB LPPRD4x RAM plus 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. This hardware has been coupled with the OriginOS based on Android 11.

Vivo X60 Pro

For photography, Vivo X60 Pro houses a quad-camera module, which includes 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 13-megapixel portrait lens with 50mm focal length. Vivo has also announced that the set-up will offer support for the second-gen micro-gimbal OIS technology. At the front, it features a 32-megapixel snapper for selfies. The handset packs a 4,300mAh battery and supports a 33W fast charging solution.

On the Vivo X60, there are a few changes, but mostly, the specifications sheet remains the same. The handset also features the same size 120Hz refresh rate display, the same Exynos 1080 SoC, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. But the changes appear on the rear set-up with the X60 getting a triple camera module and no telephoto lens at the rear. The handset packs the same 4,300mAh battery as opposed to the 4,200mAh battery on Vivo X60 Pro.

Vivo X60 series: Pricing and availability

The Vivo X60 has been rolled out in two versions, with the phone available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB models. The pricing has been set at CNY 3,498 and CNY 3,798 respectively. On the other hand, the Vivo X60 Pro is slightly more expensive and comes in a 12GB/256GB model which costs CNY 4498. The phones will be available for pre-order in China with sales starting from 8th January 2021.
