Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched a new mid-range phone ‘Vivo Y12’ in Hong Kong as well as Vietnam. The news portal Gizbot reported on Saturday that the device costs HK $1,098 and comes in two colours such as Phantom Black and Glacier Blue. At the moment, there is no word regarding the availability of India.

The Vivo Y12s is priced at HK $1,098 (roughly Rs. 10,550) and comes in two body shades including Phantom Black and Glacier Blue.
The smartphone comes decorated with a large 6.51-inch IPS LCD display. The Water drop Notch screen has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an 20:9 aspect ratio. The handset houses a vertical camera module that comes combined with a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and videos, the front camera module has an 8MP shooter.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y12s is powered by a Helio P35 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. Talking about its software or OS part, the device runs company’s proprietary Funtouch OS 11 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 10 operating system.
The Vivo Y12s is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that only supports 10W charging. Common connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, MicroUSB and 3.5mm audio jack with dual SIM support are also available on the Y12. The handset is also equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
