Poco which was a sub-brand of Xiaomi has confirmed that the POCO F2 launch in India could be near. POCO fans have been sitting tight for the POCO F1’s successor since its debut. In an AMA meeting with Anuj Sharma, Country Director, and Manmohan, General Manager of POCO India, it was revealed that the previous sub-brand of Xiaomi is working on the next POCO F-series phones. This indicates that POCO’s upcoming offering could be the POCO F2.
POCO has launched five phones this year. The list has POCO X2, POCO M2 Pro, POCO M2, POCO X3, and POCO C3. The organization had entered the phone market in the year of 2018 with its flagship phone POCO F1.
In May this year, POCO had declared the POCO F2 Pro as a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro for the European market. Since the POCO X2 was presented as the rebranded Redmi K30 in India, there was hope for the K30 Pro launching as the POCO F2 Pro. Though, POCO GM Manmohan shot those rumors down and said that the POCO F2 won’t be a rebadged variant.
Prior, in an interview with Indian Express, POCO Country Director Anuj Sharma expressed that the POCO F2 Pro isn’t the true replacement to POCO F1. In the AMA meeting, Manmohan revealed that it is extremely hard to create the POCO F’s magic again because of many issues during the pandemic.
POCO is relied upon to drop the ‘Pro’ moniker on its forthcoming POCO F2 phone. Neither Sharma nor Manmohan revealed the launch date of the new POCO F-series phone. Taking into consideration that the brand has confirmed the device, that it should make a debut in the coming months is expected.
Then, POCO is gearing up to launch the third device internationally in its M-series called POCO M3 tomorrow.
