With the latest development, WhatsApp has launched a ‘Carts’ feature, enabling the users to buy their favorite products online through the instant messaging platform. With the ‘Whatsapp Pay‘ and ‘Carts’ feature, the company aims to ease the shopping experience for the users under a single roof. Apart from this, the new cart feature also allows users to browse a catalog, select multiple products, and send the order as one message to the business.
The “Add to Cart” feature on WhatsApp also allows users to browse through catalogue, select multiple products from one merchant, and place an order. Users can then share product details with the seller to place the order directly through the app. This will make it easy for businesses to keep track of order inquiries, oversee requests from customers, and close sales.
Here is the step by step guidelines – How to use WhatsApp Carts
(1) Open WhatsApp.
(2) Go to the chat or business profile of the business you’d like to order from.
(3) Go to the shopping button icon listed next to their name to access their catalog.
(4) Once the catalog displays, browse through the products you’d like to order.
(5) Select the product you like.
(6) Tap on the ‘Add to Cart’ button icon for the product, if you’d like to place an order.
Now, customers can search and add multiple items from a single merchant to the cart and share it with the seller to complete an order. In addition, there is also an option to add or remove one or more items from the cart. Once the item has been added, customers can send it as a single WhatsApp message to the seller’s WhatsApp Business account.
In case of inquiry about multiple items listed in a seller’s catalog, customers can add all of those to the cart and send their inquiry in a single message. After the order confirmation, the sellers could also accept payment using WhatsApp Pay to finish the order and initiate the delivery process.
