Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has made an announcement regarding upgradation of their Mi Notebook Air with the latest 8th generation of Intel Core processors. The device will be available with a starting price of CNY 5,399 which would be equal to approx. INR 54000. It will be available in Dark Grey colour option.
The latest model will be available with Intel Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8550U chipsets. The former was giving a maximum speed of 3.4GHz while the latter will give a maximum output of 4.0GHz. Also, the notebook will be loaded with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 memory while the rest of the specifications will remain the same. Recalling, the original Mi Notebook Air was launched in August 2016.
The Mi Notebook Air will have a 13.3-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Also, it will come with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 170 degree viewing angle and 300nits brightness. The device will also be backed by a vast 8GB DDR4 memory coupled with 128GB/256GB PCIe SSD (expandable) hard drive variants. The device will run on Windows 10 operating system. It will also have a fingerprint sensor to unlock the laptop.
The Mi Notebook Air will have a long battery life of 9.5hrs on a single charge. Notably, it will also have a new technology i.e. fingerprint recognition which makes it more secure and can be used to unlock the device. It also ensures to make secure online payments etc. As far as connectivity is concerned, it will support a USB Type-C port, USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, one 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and one megapixel front camera for video calling. Measurement of laptop will be 309.6×210.9×14.8mm and 1.3kg of weight.
