For a couple of days many of the Mi, POCO and Redmi users have been complaining about their smartphones that they are facing bootloop issues or constant rebooting. As a result, the overall user experience is being disrupted. As per Xiaomi, after observing several complaints from Mi and Redmi phone users the company has acknowledged the issue and confirmed the tech team is working to resolve the issue. As per the company they will roll out a software update very soon.
On Saturday Xiaomi said that the company has taken feedback from customers into consideration and is working to fix the problem as early as possible. Also, the company has issued an official statement on the same.
Xiaomi, through an email statement to BGR.in clarified that “It has come to our notice that Mi & Redmi devices are showing an error, causing unwanted rebooting of the device. Also, it has observed that certain lines of code are misbehaving during an app update.”
The company is currently working to sort out the issue with a particular App developer whose name is not revealed as per the confirmation from Xiaomi. Also, the company has said that it will be rolling out a permanent update by early next week.
All you need to update your Mi and Redmi phone is to go to the ‘Settings’ icon and then go to ‘About phone section’ icon then, scroll down to the software update section and check if you have received any update. If you are able to see an update then just click to install it. In order to download the latest software update users need to connect their device with a stable Wi-Fi network.
Besides fixing the issue, the company has put temporary containment measures in place over the last 36 hours and further revealed that to fix this bug, Mi and Redmi device users need to get their devices flashed at a service centre.
The company has also made an official statement that “At Mi India, customer experience is top most priority and we regret the inconvenience caused to them. As a committed brand, our endeavour is to continue delivering on our consumer expectations, thereby offering the best user experience to everyone.”
