Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro has been launched in China as a follow up to the company’s previous Mi Reader, which was launched last year. The freshly-launched Mi Reader Pro features an e-Ink display which is ideal for reading as it does not cause much strain to eyes as compared to regular phones or tablets. It comes with a 7.8-inch display with high pixel density and has adjustable reading light and customizable colour tones. It comes with single RAM and storage configuration and a single colour option. Also, it supports multiple file formats as well.

Xiaomi’s Mi Reader Pro is available for CNY 1099 which is approx. Rs. 12,400 for the single storage variant i.e. 2GB RAM + 32GB. It is available in a single black colour option and can be purchased via Youpin, a crowdfunding platform of Xiaomi. As far, the brand has not shared any details regarding international availability.
Mi Reader Pro has a 7.8-inch display with screen resolution of 1878×1404 pixels and 300ppi pixel density. Also, there are 24 levels of adjustability for the colour temperature so that one can choose between a warm and a cool colour tone depending on the environment. The Mi Reader Pro is powered by a quad core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and runs on Android 8.1
Mi Reader Pro comes with a 3200mAh battery with 10W charging support. On the connectivity front, it includes dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. It also features an EPDC controller for smooth page turning and lower power consumption. Its measurement is 192.1×138.6x7mm and weight is just 251 grams.
Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro supports WeChat Reading, voice search, Baidu cloud and several file formats like .txt, .epub, .pdf, .xlsx, .ppt and .doc. There is another feature also through which you can transfer books to the Mi Reader Pro with the help of a WLAN or a USB connection.
