ZTE rolled out the Axon 20 5G (aka A20 5G) back in September as the world’s first smartphone with an under-display selfie camera.
Today, the company has teased the Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition, which will come in orange color with a big Axon branding on the back. The teaser on Weibo shows the rear panel of the smartphone and the new edition is claimed to have an under-display selfie camera as the regular model.
The Chinese phone manufacturer didn’t reveal any other details about the Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition, and it is indefinite what sets it apart from the regular model.
The regular Axon 20 5G sports a 6.92 inch 90Hz Full HD+ OLED display. It is also the world’s first commercially available smartphone with an under-display selfie camera. The phone’s selfie camera has a 32MP sensor and users get 4 more cameras on the back – 64MP primary, 8MP ultra wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor.
The ZTE Axon 20 5G has a Snapdragon 765G SoC with a 4,220mAh battery that charges via a 30W fast charger through a USB-C port. The smartphone runs Android 10-based MiFavor 3.5 out-of-the-box and packs up to 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and an in-display fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.
